Let's imaging you arrived at our Festival Booth, maybe Shambhala Music Festival, maybe Mall pop up... So then, lets first have a chat! (Also feel free to send me a message if any of this confused you, inspires you or you just want to connect!)
My name is Adrian Bolli, founder and owner of Bolli Imports. Love vending, love talking to customers, adapting to changing times but resisting the anonymity of e-commerce.

I’ve been vending at festivals and events for a long time. If you walked into my booth right now, we wouldn't just do a silent transaction. We’d make eye contact and have a real chat. Maybe I’d ask you what brings you to the festival, what grabbed your attention in the shop, maybe even what you ate for breakfast...!!

I uploaded a picture of me and my team in the listing photos so you can see who we are. Yup, that is us!

If I was standing with you in the booth and noticed you wondering or hesitating over this coat, you'd try it on and know a lot more. I could check in with you. I might tell you about the product, the company, we might talk about travels, and most of all, learn a bit more about you! Maybe I'd ask: Is the price doable for you? And I could explain exactly how that price comes to be.

The Rational behind the price:
In the case of this fringe coat...
- The COAT: It is made in India, which is traditionally a low-wage country. It's a complicated coat with many panels and a very long fringe. I won't to squeeze my suppliers which is common in biz. I want them to be able to pay their staff a decent, honest wage. There is a mutual understanding between us, and they respect that. The fellow who sews the coats, loves making them - and we can feel it.

- THE SHIPPING: Getting things across the world has gotten brutal over the years. Logistics costs are no joke now, so that adds a lot of cost to the journey.

- THE CANADIAN FINISH: Once the coat lands, we add the fur fringe with the spandex liner right here in Canada. Tajana, who also makes our Bolli Bear Hoods, adds this final touch. She hand-cuts the fur, sews it all together, and she is the one who ships it out to you, too!

Every dollar you spend here goes into supporting real people—from India, to Ecuador, to Thailand, and to Canada—who are masters of their craft and are trying to carve out a living for themselves.

Because of all that work, our pieces are worth every cent. If you are in a position to support us by paying full price, we appreciate you more than you know.

I just prefer to keep things real, but I have never tried to show up this way on Etsy. Let's see what happens and if I should continue this way! What I really want to do is bring the festival booth to the internet, to you and me.
